Hawaii
Hawaii is a U.S. state and its islands are known for its cliffs, waterfalls, and tropical beaches with gold, red, black, and even green sands. Its diverse islands are destinations to a myriad of activities ranging from hiking, golfing, finishing, surfing, scuba diving, and snorkeling. Oahu has Hawaii’s biggest city and capital. Honolulu is home to Pearl Harbor’s WWII memorials. Maui is known for its diversity of beaches and upscale resorts as well as its humpback whale sightings. There’s an active volcano in the Big Island called Kilauea that regularly oozes lava. Big Island
The Big Island (officially named Hawaii), is the largest island in the United States. There are two active volcanoes Kilauea and Mauna Loa. Hapuna Beach and Kahalu’u Beach Park in the west are popular snorkeling sites. There are rainforests and tropical gardens such as Hawaii Tropical Botanic Garden and Akaka Falls State Park. The Kona region is known for its coffee plantations, and the Waipio Valley is a mayor hiking spot.
Honolulu
Honolulu is the capital of Hawaii. The Waikiki neighborhood is its center for dining, nightlife, and shopping, and it’s well known for its crescent beach. At Honolulu, there are also sites relating to the World War II attack on Pearl Harbor. Downtown is the Hawaii State Capitol building and Iolani Palace. Although the Iolani Palace is now a museum it was once home to Hawaiian royalty. Honolulu has many pockets of rainforests, canyons, waterfalls, and beaches with coral reefs.
Maui
Maui is the best Hawaiian island to choose for honeymooners or families with small children. In Maui there are plenty of places to stay where you don’t need a car to access restaurants and beaches. Upcountry Maui is known for its farms and reached. Its resorts along the coast offer golf courses, spas, and island-inspired dining. The partially submerge Molokini crater is a popular spot for snorkelers and divers with colorful fish species. There are hiking trails, waterfalls, and swimming holes at the Tropical Iao Valley in the West Maui Mountains.
